For a brief period on 25 July 2009, Mormoiron was the centre of the cycling world while the Tour de France
passed through the centre of the village. This was during the last-but-one stage, which finished at the top
of Mt. Ventoux - 1700m. higher up... Hundreds of people were lining the streets of our village. (Of course,
even in normal times we think it is the centre of the world; and it's certainly a great place for bicycle
enthusiasts to base themselves for a holiday.)
